PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride)
PVC is a thermoplastic material having outstanding corrosion resistance, excellent electric insulation properties and good mechanical strength. The properties of the material can be varied by the addition to fillers, plasticizers, stabilizers and colorants. It is a dark grey colour and is easily cemented and welded using hot air. UPVC [A rigid, unplasticized PVC offering excellent chemical resistance that is self-extinguishing and suitable for applications not exceeding 160°F (71°C)]and CPVC [A rigid PVC offering the same general properties as UPVC with additional temperature and chemical resistance and is suitable for applications up to 212°F (100°C)] is also available.
